Works great on quickly removing labrador hair in the car, area rugs, furniture, stairs and even on the bed covers. It will not suck up your blankets and light throw rugs. Lightweight and really easy to hold. Unlike the Dyson Animal where the pet hair remover is good but awkward to use in small spaces because you have to attach it to the long extension tube. The cord is a good length and it's nice that there is an extension wand and brush. This vac is perfect. Cleaned up the dog's hair from the whole house and car this morning in a few minutes.Customer Review: A little powerhouse

We had a Dirt Devil for more than 15 years before it decided to take a dirt-devil nap. After much research, we decided on this item (price, features, previous experience). We both like it more than the old one that had been so reliable.
1. The cord is longer - definitely a plus.
2. The easy empty canister beats the heck out of the old disposable bag system.
3. Much stronger suction than the older model.
4. Much better pick up for dog hair - it was amazing how much more thoroughly this one cleans.
5. Tool kit is definitely a plus. The older model didn't have tools attached.
6. Broke a bowl this morning and it picked up the small pieces (those that are unseen but deadly to bare feet) completely. No problem on the hardwood floors.
7. Delivery was made ahead of schedule through an Amazon supplier - even in the holiday season.
8. Brushes/beaters are much more preferable than a pure suction system.
On the minus side, we really do not have any; but...
1. If you have ALOT of pet hair, the canister may be somewhat small.
2. Finding a convenient place to store the unit and the tools. Could be a problem for some keeping them all together.
In all, it really fits our needs well - a nice unit, especially for the Amazon price. I certainly hope my wife gives me the opportunity to clean the steps. I am praying for that day (yup, sure am).

This little vacuum really does its job. I never realized how much dog hair I had on my carpet. I was flabergasted! I vacuum regularly with an expensive cleaner so I thought all I needed was something small to vacuum my couch. When I tried it on my carpet the hair that came off was amazing. With two cats and a dog, I was looking for a workhorse of a hand-held vac. This is it. It really does a great job. When I told my wife I had ordered it she said that she thought it would be a waste of money. Now she uses it all the time and loves it. For pet hair, it can't be beat.
